Montgomery: Fifty-five years after the historic march from Selma to Montgomery, the third and final interpretive center along the 54-mile route is finally set to open on the Alabama State University campus. ASU President Quinton Ross announced the grand opening will be held March 25, the anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr. leading tens of thousands of marchers to the steps of the Alabama State Capitol at the conclusion of the five-day march in 1965. Ahead of the official opening – a day more than a decade in the making – the center opened for a sneak peek to the community Saturday and Sunday.
